Troy Malcolm Morin
April 10, 1964 – April 21, 2012
Troy passed away suddenly. He will be greatly missed by his wife Christine, sons Alex and Jacob, his moms Gloria Morin and Shirley Checkley, sisters Lori (Greg Schentag) and Sandra (Kurt Carlson), brother in-law Robert Checkley (Kim), sisters-in-law Lois (Jack Thomson), Catherine Checkley and Betty Checkley. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, countless friends, and his dogs Dooly and Daisy will miss Troy. Troy was predeceased by his father David in 1999.
Troy was raised in Esterhazy SK. In 1986 Troy joined the navy and found a love for the Island. A base for many years where he enjoyed the life of a sailor and with his bride chose to raise their sons. After retiring from the navy Troy worked for BC Transit as a bus driver.
Most important in Troy’s life was his family, whether at a lacrosse game cheering loudly for his boys, planning special gifts for his wife or at “the Lake” relaxing and enjoying life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kidsports or the SPCA.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Friday, April 27th at the Royal Canadian Legion, Prince Edward Branch, 761 Station Rd, Langford. Please dress casual. We invite you to share any special memories that you have of Troy.
